Once a week, staff at The Forum School gather to share ideas, collaborate and learn new skills. Through peer-to-peer learning, teachers were invited to plan a lesson with fellow teachers as their “students.” They shared ideas about how to enhance cross-curricular learning, rather than planning lessons in isolation.
Collaboration is vital. “We don’t just teach art, or science or social studies…we teach a child. When we collaborate, we help to ensure a continuity of care and instruction,” said Connie Pearson, a teacher at The Forum School.
