Thanks to generous support from Ramsey Auto Group, The Forum School’s signature social learning program, “Learning Lunch,” is stronger than ever.

“Learning Lunch” is unique to The Forum School. Rather than taking a break at lunch time, classroom teachers sit down to eat lunch with their students in order to teach language, the art of conversation, social skills, and fine and gross motor skills. The school chef prepares a hot lunch every day on site, with an eye toward expanding students’ food interests. The program is not fully funded by tuition, so its success relies on private funds raised by the Parents’ Association.

Jimmy Conroy, the treasurer of The Forum School’s Parents’ Association, said the gift from Ramsey Auto Group comes at a critical time. “The pandemic has made it more difficult for the Parents’ Association to host major events. I cannot thank them enough for this important donation, especially now. It allows us to dream bigger,” he said.

“Ramsey Auto Group has been a long-time supporter of our work and an important community partner, serving as a career learning site for many of our students. Their commitment to students with autism is an example to all,” said Brian Detlefsen, Director of The Forum School.
