Each day, we have the chance to do something a little bit better than we did yesterday. That is what learning is! It requires attention and intention.
Our students always amaze me with their efforts to rise to that expectation. Whether they are 5 years old and learning how to identify shapes, or 21 years old and ready to graduate, our students work hard on new skills, changing patterns of behavior that do not work for them, building relationships, and increasing independence.
We ask the same of our staff. They are in a state of perpetual evolution, building new skills, trying new strategies, and using new technologies, all with the intention of improving outcomes for our students.
Professional development is central to our work here at The Forum School.
We learn from each other, we learn from the literature, and we learn from experts. We learn about our unique fields of practice and then share that information across disciplines to make the effects even more impactful.
What happens when we put it all together and bring it back to our students is nothing short of amazing!
Best regards,
