Brian Detlefsen, Director, The Forum School

I am proud and deeply humbled to be leading The Forum School as we mark our 65th anniversary serving students with disabilities. Our dedicated founders were visionaries, thought leaders, and pioneers. In preparing this issue of Forum Insights, we relived the work that brought us to this present day, recalling the victories – and the challenges – that got us here today.

Sixty-five years after our founding, we do this work because we are still needed. And while much has changed over the years, our core mission, our beliefs, and our values have remained steady. We have always worked to serve students who need more than a public school program can offer; to provide cutting-edge services based on current best practice, even as it evolves; to support and care for families; and to strive for the best future possible for every student who walks into our school.

Best regards,
Brian Detlefsen, Director
