We celebrated the achievements of our 2020 graduates under a shade tree last summer, with full pomp and circumstance.

When Tommy, a Fair Lawn resident and student at The Forum School in Waldwick, first arrived at Peter's Fish Market in Midland Park as part of the school's Structured Learning Experience (SLE) program, Peter's owner Steve Sclafani recalls that he, "was very quiet." But, not anymore. "Now, he talks with us, we kid around. He's part of the crew."
Brian Detlefsen, The Forum School principal, has been elected to the North Jersey Special Education Administrators Association (NJSEAA) Executive Committee as a board member.
I am proud and deeply humbled to be leading The Forum School as we mark our 65th anniversary serving students with disabilities. Our dedicated founders were visionaries, thought leaders, and pioneers. While much has changed over the years, our core mission, our beliefs, and our values have remained steady.
The Forum School Foundation that was established in 1963 – about a decade after the school opened its doors – has a singular mission: to ensure the fiscal stability and integrity of the school.
