Every year, ASAH, the state association of private special education schools, recognizes educators whose work has changed lives. This year, The Forum School celebrated two regional finalists, Beverly Asinofsky and Jacquelyn “Jackie” Cashin. At the statewide conference in November, Jackie was selected as ASAH’s 2019 Paraprofessional of the year.
The Forum School was also one of only a small handful of schools selected to present at the conference. School nurse Elizabeth Kress Golub led a 90-minute workshop for educators entitled Beyond the Birds and the Bees: Teaching Human Sexuality to Adolescents with Autism and Other Special Needs. Kristen Goodman-McCloskey, BCBA presented An Overview of Evidence-Based Technologies Grounded in ABA Principles: ABA More Than Discrete Trials.
